About the Old Duck Inn

The farm was owned for many years by the Syron family and was a working dairy farm until the late 20th century. Many people came to visit what was known as “Syron’s Grove” for a relaxing stay in one of the cottages on the river, or to attend one of the many picnics and clambakes held for various local organizations. We often meet people who have fond memories from their childhood of a visit to “Syron’s Grove.” Stately 200 year old oak trees along the river still beckon visitors today.

The Old Duck Inn B&B offers comfortable accommodations, homemade country breakfasts and treats, nature walks, a place to canoe or kayak, and easy access to local attractions such as the Finger Lakes Wine Trail and Waterloo Premium Outlets. In addition, the property lies within the 30,000 acre Montezuma Wetlands Complex comprised of state, federal and private lands managed for wildlife and outdoor recreation. As a bonus, the new Montezuma Audubon Center located in Savannah, NY is just 12 minutes away.
